What Cerneiq is

Cerneiq is a personal net-worth tracking tool. It lets you record and connect financial accounts, visualize your net worth, run what-if scenarios, and generate reports. It is not a bank, broker-dealer, registered investment advisor, or tax preparer, and nothing in the product is a substitute for advice from one.

Not financial advice

Every projection, insight, score, and AI-generated summary in Cerneiq is informational and based on the data you've entered — it is not personalized investment, tax, or legal advice, and we don't guarantee its accuracy or that any projection will match reality. For a decision specific to your situation, talk to a licensed financial advisor, tax professional, or attorney.

Your account

• You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials confidential.
• You're responsible for activity that happens under your account, including any household members you invite.
• We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use Cerneiq.

Connected accounts

If you connect a bank or brokerage account through Plaid, you're authorizing Cerneiq to retrieve balance, holding, and transaction data for that account on an ongoing basis until you disconnect it. You're responsible for the accuracy of any account you connect and for keeping your access to it valid.

Subscriptions and billing

Some features require a paid plan, billed through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel or change your plan at any time from Settings → Billing; changes take effect at the end of the current billing period unless stated otherwise at checkout.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Cerneiq for any unlawful purpose, or to misrepresent someone else's financial information as your own.
• Attempt to access another user's account or data without authorization.
• Interfere with, reverse-engineer, or overload the service.
• Resell or provide access to the service to third parties without our written permission.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Cerneiq is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Market data, exchange rates, and account balances are sourced from third parties and may be delayed or inaccurate. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for financial decisions made using the app, or for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of it.

Termination

You may stop using Cerneiq at any time and request account deletion by emailing hello@cerneiq.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Changes to these terms

We'll update this page when these terms change and update the date at the top. Continued use after a change means you accept the update.
